The Zola Commitment to Sustainable Manufacturing

At Zola, we are committed to offering the finest in eco-friendly home furnishings and accessories. We believe that beauty and style can come with respect and stewardship for the planet. The Zola Furniture Collection is hand-made at our facility in Bend, Oregon.
We have extended our commitment to use eco-friendly materials and practices to as many aspects of our manufacturing process as possible. Virtually every detail found in our furniture is organic, recycled, or sustainably grown when we can find it, or custom made by us when we can not. We constantly look for new ways to recycle all of our waste, from the front office and manufacturing plant to the lunch room. We purchase 100% of our electrical power from renewable resources through the PACIFIC POWER BLUE SKY RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAM. While some companies might see sustainable furnishings as the "next big thing", we see it as a way of life and the right thing to do. We recycle, reuse, and strive daily in both our personal and professional lives to leave as small a footprint on this planet as we can.
We are very proud of the quality of the materials we use in all phases of our construction. By using a "from the ground up" philosophy, we have made every effort to find and use the highest quality eco-friendly and sustainable materials available. As part of our commitment to sustainability, all of our furniture is built to be heirloom quality, and will outlast the original fabric many times over. As re-upholstery is a form of recycling, this helps insure that our furniture will not end up in a land fill with its plywood cousin. When it has reached the end of its useful life, all of our products are made to be as easily and completely recyclable as possible.
Zola is a proud member of the SUSTAINABLE FURNITURE COUNCIL and one of only five companies in the world to currently have achieved the prestigious SILVER EXEMPLARY status. The Sustainable Furniture Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable practices within the home furnishings business. Sustainable practices are based on the triple bottom line philosophy of People, Planet, Profits, and promotes those practices that create a healthy balance between the environment, social equity, and the local economy
